Theology of the Body at St. Ben's

Youth Minister, Nic Davidson, learned about Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body" through reading and study with Christopher West in 2008. He brought what he learned at a week-long conference back to our parish for a 14-week, Monday night study October-December of 2008 and 2009. He and Fr. Michael Schmitz also taught a 4-week course through the UMD Newman Center on Wednesdays in April 2010.

His lessons at St. Benedict's have been uploaded to the website (see above). Nic taught at the night classes and also had guest speakers Ben Frost, Zach Bennett, Heather Serena, and Brian Pizzalato each teach one evening or part of an evening. All of these guest speakers studied ToB taught by Christopher West.

Nic hopes to have future ToB lessons at St. Benedict's.

Please contact Nic Davidson with questions or for questions on downloading these lessons (above).

Assembly with Christopher West: 9/12/09

The Diocesan Catechetical Assembly was led by Christopher West this year. Christopher West is a well known speaker on John Paul II's Theology of the Body (TOB). He led an introduction to the topic at this all day event at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
